The Latest

It appears that I haven't done much posting lately so here is the latest with us...

*  Halloween came and went.  I think that Noah had fun trick or treating.  He was spiderman, which he called Barney.  I'm not really sure why except that maybe he thought the bright colors looks like a character?  Who knows but he liked it and that's all that mattered.  I didn't orginally plan for him to be spiderman, I was going to have him be a dog but I couldn't find a costume that I liked enough that wasn't $50 and he kept going to the spiderman costume, so... there you have it, that is why he was spiderman.  And, he made a darn cute one if I say so myself.

*  We had a fun Thanksgiving weekend.  We had Thanksgiving dinner with Jon's family, went to dinner with my mom, had breakfast with my dad, went swimming with Jon's family, more time with my mom and dad... I think that's it!  But, unfortunately took zero pictures this entire weekend except for on my phone so they aren't that great.  But, all and all it was a fun relaxing weekend.

*  My family's dog, Dakota, died.  He was 15 years old and is pretty much the only dog I have ever liked, let alone loved.  I never quite understood how people could make such a big deal over their pets until him.  We sure love him and will miss him!

*  Jon got a new car.  Hallelujah!!!!  Oh, how his old car drove me crazy!  He swore that he would drive it until it wouldn't go any longer but my dad's work got rid of all company cars which meant that my dad's was for sale.  He's been the only owner and takes the best care of cars and it was a great price.  It was an offer he couldn't refuse.

*  Jon also just went back to his old job doing accounting.  He had started selling insurance with his brother and brother-in-law a little over a year ago.  He wanted to try it out because there is so much flexibililty in their schedules.  He liked it but decided that accounting is still a better fit, plus, he just got his CPA license.  It was a lot of work getting there so he might as well use it!  His job with the company that he worked for before became available again so he has gone back to his exact same job.  He really hasn't lost anything from being gone so that worked out great!

*  We've had a fun Christmas season so far.  Noah loves seeing the lights everywhere we go and has fallen in love with Santa, snowmen and Christmas trees.  We went to Kurt Bestor with my dad on Saturday and it's always fun to get into the Christmas spirit with a nice concert.  Again, I failed to take any pictures but I'm really going to try and step it up the rest of the month!

So sorry to hear about Dakota, Ang. It's definitely hard to lose a dog, especially such a good one like him!

I loved the update! I'm so sorry to hear about Dakota passing away! I remember when you got him. He was sure loved by your family.

Congrats to Jon on having his CPA license. I know from my sister's husband, that yes, that is a huge accomplishment and it sounds like things fell into place for him work wise. And the new car, also a huge plus! I'm excited to see you in a week!

Ang, sorry about your dog. I loved our little dog we had for a little bit growing up and was so sad when my mom couldn't handle him anymore so she gave him to our cleaning lady. Anyway, yay for Johnny! Way to go on the CPA and also happy you were able to take your old job back! Also, another yay for a new car! I know how that is... it was so hard for me to convince Danny to sell his piece but finally it happened! what kind of car is it? it sounds like you guys are keeping busy! we need to get together for real, no more running into you at stores;).

That was fun to read. I learned what you've been up to.
So what kind of car did Jon buy? Did you trade in your old one at a dealer or sell it by owner to someone? (Maybe you just gave it away. Ha :)
Getting a new car is on my mind A LOT . It's just such a hastle. Lucky, it came easy for you two.

Take Care.
